Photo Album: Radon Mitigation in Calhan, CO

This home in Calhan was one that was originally constructed in the 1940's and then had a new addition built in the early 2000's. It had two separate basement systems that needed to be joined together with one radon system, but with two suction points. The planned locations to place risers changed a couple of times, and so we ultimately opted for two separate radon systems when safe entry into the attic (between the original home and the new addition) prevented us from joining the two sides together.

Exterior

Originally planned to install a perimeter drain tile depressurization system with the riser going up, then into the attic just to the right of the gable vent.

Sump

We then opted to install a sump depressurization system.

Up through bathroom wall

The homeowner built the new addition to the home and knew exactly where we could drill through the floor that would put the pipe precisely inside the wall of the bathroom (where other plumbing pipe is installed to service the tub/shower).
